Meet artist Andrea Hungerford

Meander Made is reflection of my artistic journey and the ways that I have found to make my life more creative and whole. An attorney in my “day job,” I am also a sewist and knitter, a pattern designer, and the founder of By Hand Serial, a series of books that explored regions of creativity around the country and the artists who were part of those communities.
My home base is a small harborside town along the coast of Maine, but much of my time is spent traveling - through Maine, around New England, and all over the world. This allows me to deepen my experiences wherever I am presently located, and draw inspiration from the people and places I encounter. It is truly a time to meander . . . through nature, through foreign locales, through different creative media and experiences. I’m embracing my need to make more than one thing, to experience more than one place, and to express my creativity in more than one way. Meander Made is a journal of my experiences and expression, and I would be honored if you join me on this journey.

A stay at the Inn in the lakes region of New Hampshire while taking a weaving class at Harrisville Designs.
We finally have had consistent snow and cold weather, so the ponds and lakes have frozen, and there’s beautifully light and fluffy snow on the ground for good snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Every couple of days we get a new snowfall, keeping it refreshed and beautiful!
