Citrus blanket

Warp and weft:  Henry’s Attic Great Big Softie (warp is hand dyed with fresh and dried marigold)

10 EPI

Width on warp:  34”

340 ends (inc 2 floating selvedges)

5.25 yard warp

Threading: 1-2-3-4

Draft:  twill (1-2-3-4-3-2-1)

I wove the entire piece, then took it off the loom, hemstitched the two ends and trimmed the fringe to 2 1/2”. I folded the piece in half, identified the exact middle, and measured 2 1/2” to either side of the middle line. At each of those two points I zig zag stitched a stay stitch, then cut the piece into two on the exact middle line. I pulled the threads back to create fringe, and then hemstitched both raw ends. Finally, I stitched the two pieces together lengthwise.

Finished: Machine wash cold on delicate
