Return to Maine travels: We drive up the Bold Coast

The sunsets were incredible from our Airbnb on the high granite cliffs of Roque Bluffs. It was unbelievably quiet, the silence broken only by bird calls and the chugging engine of the occasional lobster boat.

We hiked near Quoddy Lighthouse - the easternmost point in the United States - for more iconic Bold Coast views of towering cliffs, turquoise waters, and lobster boats heading out to sea.
