Maine: June 2021

An afternoon sail in Penobscot Bay took us past three lighthouses: Curtis Island (upper right), Rockland breakwater (lower left), and Owls Head (lower right).

It was worth it getting up at 4:45am to catch sunrise over Curtis Island each morning.

Lupines in Maine are stunning! We found some beautiful fields off the beaten path in Rockport and on the drive down to Pemaquid Point.

The weather was so perfect, we went kayaking out of Rockport Harbor and into Penobscot Bay. We stopped on Indian Island to stretch our legs and admire the wildflowers.

The view from the top of Mt. Battie, after hiking up Carriage Road.

Maine in bloom! The flowers were so beautiful everywhere, it was hard to take a walk without stopping every couple of feet to take pictures.

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse has rocky shores that I could explore for hours, and an uninterrupted view out to sea.
