Knitting project: Yama Pullover

Pattern: Fern & Feather

Yarn: Yama Merino Linen Singles (90% South African merino / 10% linen) – 1 skein/ea (394 yds) in colors Green Kelp, Dark Maple, Khaki, and Eclipse

Needles: US 6s

Sizing: Size E (41” chest)

Notes: No waist shaping, short sleeves with no decreaes

This is an example of an impulse yarn buy . . . I loved the colors together when the yarn was in the skeins, but not so much when knitted up. I usually avoid yoke-style sweaters - not flattering on me - but it works okay here (although it was a little difficult to get the puckers in the yoke to flatten out, even with wet blocking). The yarn feels lovely (merino and linen blends are one of my favorites!) but the colors and stripes just don’t do it for me. Oh well, live and learn . . .
