Houndstooth Trapeze Dress

Pattern: Trapeze Dress (sleeveless version) by Merchant & Mills

Size: 12 UK

Fabric: Houndstooth wool from Bolt Fabric Boutique

Fitting Notes: I needed to size up one size - the dress is tighter than I would like at the bustline. Also, for some reason the armholes did not fit well, and I had to recut them slightly larger - again, possibly a sizing issue. I like this pattern in the lightweight wool, but I’m always a little unsure about how flattering the fit of these exaggerated A-line dresses is. I guess it’s just something I’ll have to wear for a while before I decide whether I like it enough to add it to my wardrobe . . .
