color play blanket

Woven on a Harrisville 36” loom at a weeklong on-site weaving workshop, I was able to double the width using double weave. The blanket is warped in 30 colors, and the weft is woven in the same 30 colors, in the same order, in approx 2” weft blocks.
* Weft and warp - Harrisville Shetland
* 4.5 yard warp
* 10 EPI
* 60” width on loom (double weave)
* 30 colors / 20 ends per color = 600 ends
* plain weave

Finishing: Soak in hot water bath w/ Dawn detergent for 30 min, then rinse with lukewarm water and soak again w/ Eucalan. Squeeze dry and finish in a hot dryer, checking every 5 min. Finish w/ line dry.

Final size: 84” x 48”
