traveling the world: marrakech
Day One - Hiking in the Atlas Mountains, Berber villages in the distance:
Day Two - Exploring the stalls and markets in the Old City, admiring the incredible colors and artistry of the tilework and woodwork in historical sites tucked into corners of the medina - oh, and cats everywhere! So nice to find a city that loves cats as much as I do . . .
Day Three - A guided tour through Nectarome, a garden in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains that specializes in scented plants used in cosmetic and culinary products, including bitter orange, rosemary, thyme, and mint:
Day Four - Camel ride in the Agafay Desert at sunset, followed by drinks around a bonfire at The White Camel glamping resort:
Day Five - Sunrise hot air ballon ride, in celebration of Alia’s 19th birthay, over the Agafay Desert:
Chocolate cake and an on-site pottery lesson to celebrate:
Beautiful colors and scents everywhere at Amanjena:
Afternoon tea every day in the shade of the biitter orange trees and date palms, evening drinks in the bar in front of the fire:
