The maiden voyage of my Oru kayak

My new Oru kayak folds up like a piece of origami - so small that I can fit it in my Mini Cooper! For its first launch, I drove up in the early morning to Clear Lake on Mt. Hood. Luckily, there was no one around to watch me try to remember how to assemble it :) The launch went off without a hitch - no leakage or sinking - and I was rewarded with a beautiful morning paddle on water so calm it was like paddling on a mirror.

The wind came up before long, rippling the water, but before that happened, I managed to snap a photo of Mt. Hood, as seen from the end of the lake, reflected in the water.
