Stag Mountain Pullover
My second version of the Pine Mountain Pullover, published in By Hand Serial Special Release No. 2: In the Cabin. This yarn is incredibly soft and works well with the pattern. I love how the color is tonal: solid, but with some color variation throughout so that it has a hand-dyed look, instead of a flat solid.
Yarn: High Country Wool Homestead Worsted in color Stag
I knit on US 7s, but forgot to keep track of how many skeins I used - pretty sure I knit a little larger size this time, 40.25ā. The fit is good across the shoulders and chest, the deep ribbing on the hem and cuffs adds a little flair to the turtleneck and makes it extra comfy, and the neck fits just tightly enough. My only worry is the yarn - the downside of soft yarn is that it pills easily, and it feels like this yarn may start to fall apart as soon as it sees some wear. Time will tell . . .
I never thought that scummy or muddy yellows - or any yellows at all, for that matter - would be my go-to color, but Iām really into this shade right now.
