Felted Fiber Art

Experimenting with new ways to play with yarn, in large-scale installations . . . I used raw wool roving for the cores, then wrapped Holst Garn 100% wool yarn around to create each ball. I put the balls into panty hose, knotted between each ball. I had to run the balls through the hot cycle in the washing machine 3-4 times to get them to felt enough, then a final run through the dryer. The balls are secured to foam core board with tacky all-purpose glue.
