experimenting with different weights of cotton and indigo striping for comfortable, easy-care blankets

Warp:  4/4 cotton

Warp:  4/4 cotton w/ indigo-dyed boucle weft stripes

EPI:  8

3-yard warp

50ā€ wide
400 ends

Threading:  1/2/3/4

Tie-up:  1, 2, 3, 4,___, 1-3

Treadling:  1, 3, 2&6, 4&6

Notes: This cotton is a little ropey for me - although it creates an interesting texture when washed and dried, and the blanket feels substantial and functional, yet still soft and drapey, Iā€™m not sure that I would use 4/4 cotton again for warp/weft.

This piece was woven in a lighter weight cotton (I need to check my notes and see which one!) and leftover indigo-dyed boucle yarn.
